Yassin 'Narcy' Alsalman

NARCY, real name Yassin Alsalman, is a polymath. Regarded as a prominent voice in the Arab Diaspora, NARCY is known as the first rapper in the West of Iraqi Descent. He is a highly respected artist outside of the music industry, regarded as a multi-disciplinary thinker.
His professorship at his alma mater Concordia University had him go viral for his unique approach to Syllabus - focusing social issues through the lens of prominent artists Kanye West, Dave Chappelle and Kendrick Lamar. He has hosted guests in his class such as Mo Amer, Kaytranada, Mobb Deep, Jus Blaze, Vic Mensa, Chance The Rapper and more.
His musical collaborations have been short of legendary, working closely with yasiin bey, Talib Kweli, Mashrou Leila, Yasmine Hamdan, Yo-Yo Ma, Todd Rundgren and some Hip-Hop’s best lyricists.
He is an award winning video director, for his seminal work R.E.D. with the Hallucination, a Juno nominated artist and has graced magazine covers all over the Arab World.
He is an actor, doing voice overs for video games like Civilization 5 and The Secret World, principal actor in feature film CITY OF LIFE, and many shorts.
